Leaping into the ocean!

Prepping for the plunge!!
Friday 1st Mar It’s time to plunge to fundraise for the Explorer’s podcast and RCGS. This year I’m in Kugluktuk on the shore of the Arctic Ocean. It’s -33C and the sea ice is over 3.5 feet thick. There is work afoot in the community to carve out an ice bathtub in the sea ice 30” thick and auger a hole to the ocean beneath to bring up the water. After all that I better be ready to jump in!!
